SOME things happen but are unbelievable to accept. Ignorance is the primal factor in people believing and writing indifferently. Of course, some people despite being intelligent and academic fall into similar happenings.
Zayd, rarely performs Salaat - even Jumuáh Salaat. At times, he is known by a Christian name which he prefers. He admits that he has no family background and as a result knows none of his relatives.
A few blocks away from his home is his second 'home' where a frail old man lives. Zayd visits him at least four times a week 'to pray' and acquire 'spiritual elevation'. Zayd claims that by exerting the mind in the presence of the old man - 'a man of God' - enhances his mind and heart spiritually. Once inside the house in front of the old man Zayd closes his eyes and begins to confess the day's or previous days' daily sins. A short prayer is delivered by the old man and Zayd is back on the road. Zayd up to this day does not know the faith of this old man and what prayer he reads nor why people visit him.
This is our condition - the low state of some Muslims who are guided by their Naffs. Shaytaan portrays himself in many ways to devour one's Imaan and faith. May Allah Taãla protect our Imaan from the clutches of Kufr and Shaytaan.
